More Good Works

Ryan Anderson atFirst Things posts on "The War on Abstinence":

"...And yet few people seem aware of the coordinated effort to achieve all this that the ACLU and Planned Parenthood have undertaken (working in conjunction with such local groups as Advocates for Youth and the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States). In this year’s Planned Parenthood annual report, the group boasts success in getting governors to reject federal funding for abstinence: “The tide is shifting in America, and last year 10 governors refused” federal funding. On their website, you’ll find hyperlinks where you can “help Planned Parenthood bring vital information about birth control and responsible decision making to the classroom” and “tell your elected representatives it’s time to end dangerous abstinence-only programs and to stand up for real sex education!”

The motivations for the campaign are probably legion. Planned Parenthood and their allies stand to make millions of dollars: The federal funding that goes to abstinence education is funding that they would like to be receiving. But the financial interests are secondary. The war on abstinence is the latest battleground in the culture wars. Arguing that it is “one of the religious right’s greatest challenges to the nation’s sexual health,” Planned Parenthood insists that abstinence is “only one tactic in a broader, more long-term strategy” in the conservative arsenal. And Planned Parenthood sees itself as the great opponent to this supposed assault on sexual freedom..."(h/t dawn eden)

Yep. That sounds like they have my kids' best interests at heart.

The Gay Parade

LifesiteNews lists the 52 members of Congress on the 'bipartisan' House of Rep. LGBT Equality Caucus -all Democrats, so far.

No doubt the , Republicans will rush to join the 'bound to be popular' group, dedicated to promoting homosexuality at home and abroad.

Hurrah for America! Focus on the arguably best serviced demographic in the world. They REALLY need special attention. Waste public money supporting activities that have no conceivable public benefit. Plot the demise of American society .(Well, its really a bit late for that!) Join Canada and Europe in decimating your population. (Double kudos - green AND gay) Deconstruct the family so gays won't feel left out.

They still WILL be, you know. You can't really fake it. You can legislate recognition, even preference. You can punish naysayers. But you can't really fake it . Gay's will never accomplish the familial love and security, the joining in creation with the creator, the 'two becoming one',the biologically obvious. It's impossible, and they will always come up with less. It will always be a cheap copy, doomed to disappoint.

WHY PROLONG THEIR AGONY BY ENCOURAGING PEOPLE IN BEHAVIOR THAT ULTIMATELY DESTROYS THEM? Does Congress HATE homosexuals?

Now, just to be clear, I am not recommending legislating against homosexual behavior. In reality, personal behavior of that sort, like adultery, is a personal choice. A bad choice, but a choice that God has given us - to choose love and TRUTH, or to choose 'not love'. Should the State be legislating the encouragement of bad choices?

NO.

Obama For PM (UK)

"WHAT, STILL BREATHING?"

Maybe Obama should consider running for Prime Minister in the UK, you know, if this 'Pres. of the US' thing doesn't work out for him. Seems things might be to his liking, fit his philosophy of 'death for all inconveniences'. As an example, rendered by nurse'Kay' from the UK:

" a description of how at 24 weeks the child is often strong enough to be alive – and then must be left to die on the side of an NHS sink until breathing his, or her, last"

'Kay' has been sending letters to the media , in advance of the vote for limiting abortion to 20 wks, in hopes of highlighting how frequently late terminations are acquired for purely selfish reasons. I think that was her point. A better point might be that the baby that survives abortion, struggles to live, and is left callously to die IS IN FACT A LIVING BREATHING CHILD!!!

Now, there's a case Obama could stand behind...letting the child die to spare the convenience of the more important people...like him. (He could probably find a good group of 'Catholic' MP's to support his candidacy...)
