US Accused of Lying To Secure Support For Gay 'Rights' Declaration

C-FAM:

In their statement in support of the “sexual orientation” declaration, the US stated that it was proud to join in support of “LGBT rights”, which the delegate likened to the struggle for democracy in parts of the world, including the Middle East. In a press release issued today, the US touted its role in securing 20 additional countries to sign onto this year’s declaration, who had not signed onto the 2008 or 2006 statements.

Which apparently they acquired by lying, through a series of meetings, to the Latin American delegates, telling them that the Vatican had changed its opposition to the declaration. US officials acknowledge they had meetings, but deny lying... they only IMPLIED that the Vatican was now in agreement.

"..they were only told that the Holy See was against violence against all individuals including those based on their sexual orientation."

Archbishop Tomasi clarifies the Vatican's actual stand :

“Human sexuality, like any voluntary activity, possesses a moral dimension,” said Archbishop Silvano Tomasi, on behalf of the Holy See. “It is an activity which puts the individual will at the service of a finality; it is not an “identity”. In other words, it comes from the action and not from the being, even though some tendencies or “sexual orientations” may have deep roots in the personality. Denying the moral dimension of sexuality leads to denying the freedom of the person in this matter, and undermines ultimately his/her ontological dignity,” said Tomasi.

UN Human rights - rights without the freedom 'to be' or the dignity 'of being' more than a body with bodily functions . A world where the human being is just a body - and only some bodies are valuable. Gays ,apparently , are somebodies - but only when 'being' gay? Perhaps you are only a 'somebody' if you are having sex. That fits with current attitudes towards the unborn, the old, sick, disabled or poor(except those having sex- they are very interested in those bodies).

Opposing the Homosexual Agenda: Religious Bigotry or Science and Justice? - Catholic Online

Catholic Online (www.catholic.org)

To claim that by opposing the gay agenda the Church is acting in an unloving manner is patently untrue.

BETHPAGE, TN (Catholic Online) - It is considered negligent to allow or actively support action, drug abuse for example, that you know is both dangerous and destructive. Imagine being accused of bigotry after forbidding such action in one of your children. Yet Church opposition of the homosexual agenda draws angry criticism from those who claim her stance on homosexuality is based solely on religious bigotry against homosexuals.

The claim of bigotry is exacerbated by the fact that the American Psychiatric Association (APA), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Psychoanalytic Association have endorsed gay marriage on the basis that since marriage is best (everyone agrees), then gay marriage is better than gay co-habitation.

These endorsements somehow "prove" it is in the best interests of homosexuals, society, and for children, for there to exist something called gay "marriage" according to its supporters. They maintain there is no ethical reason to "discriminate" against homosexuals and children of "same sex families" by not "allowing" same sex partners to marry. They further argue that to not allow such a legal status is to somehow force a religious position on people who do not share it.

The conflicting messages confuse people to the point that they believe the Church, by opposing the gay agenda, is acting in the ugliest, most unloving light toward gays, but that is patently untrue. She is defending their safety, and that of everyone else, with great love and loyalty. Please consider science regarding homosexuality.

Science and Justice or Religious Bigotry and Prejudice?

A "Review of Research on Homosexual Parenting, Adoption, and Foster Parenting" was done by George A. Rekers, Ph.D., Professor of Neuropsychiatry & Behavioral Science, University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, South Carolina. It is a well-known review, and in it, Rekers cites numerous national and international studies that revealed:

• Households with a homosexually-behaving adult uniquely endanger children.
• Households with a homosexually-behaving adult expose children to significantly higher rates of psychological disorder, (particularly depression), suicide, and substance abuse in homosexually-behaving adults, which results in higher rates of child depression, child maltreatment and neglect.
• Households with a resident homosexually-behaving adult are substantially less capable of providing the best psychologically stable and secure home.
• Households with a homosexually-behaving male contribute to a potentially higher risk of removal due to the sexual abuse.
• A husband/wife relationship is significantly healthier and substantially more stable socially and psychologically.
• The best child adjustment results from living with a married man and woman compared to other family structures.
• Compared to a family without a homosexually behaving adult, empirical evidence and 30 years of Rekers´s own clinical experience with children strongly support the conclusion that a home with a homosexual-behaving individual subjects a child to a set of disadvantages, stresses, and other harms that are seriously detrimental to a child´s psychological and social development.

This review is an extensive survey of many, many studies and their research; the science behind it was used at state levels to guide public policy regarding child custody decisions, adoption, and foster parenting, as well as to defend and uphold laws to this effect in other states and on behalf of the Boy Scouts of America. These laws were upheld by the US Supreme Court.

It lays out the empirical evidence regarding the higher frequency of domestic violence, pedophilia, and sexual disease transmission by homosexual adults to children compared to married couples with children, among other scientific findings.

The "Normal," "Healthy," and "Harmless" Myths

Sexual and gender identity are fragile developmental processes that can be disrupted and harmfully influenced by environmental factors during childhood and adolescence. Gay activism insists that homosexuality is a healthy, inborn, alternative "norm," and seeks to promote it in the social order, but that position is against science and is particularly harmful toward children.

Gender Identity Disorder (GID) is a formal psychiatric disorder recognized as needing psychological treatment. As such, it should not be normalized, especially to children who are particularly damaged by it (Zucker & Bradley, 1995). Homosexual activists, however, encourage transgender and other gender-disordered behavior by modeling and asserting every sort of such behavior in the public domain.

Resolving gender identity issues requires early intervention and treatment, not school assemblies, marriage laws, or TV shows that teach the normalcy of a gender-confused lifestyle. No one should be encouraged by Mother Church to question, doubt, or otherwise reject their innate gender identity when to do so is known to be detrimental to their health.

In addition, the research is also clear that those involved in a gay lifestyle are much more likely to suffer from negative health effects ranging from psychiatric disorders, alcohol and drug abuse, suicide attempts, domestic violence and sexual assault, and increased risk for chronic diseases, AIDS, and shortened lifespan. The Church, bearing the supreme obligation to oppose any message damaging to her faithful, especially her youngest and most vulnerable, must also oppose the "normal," ´healthy," and "harmless" messages.

The Myth of Inevitability

Homosexuality is not inevitable, immutable, irresistible, or untreatable. Homosexual activism seeks to portray homosexuality as having these properties by socially framing it as genetically transmitted, but fortunately for the safety and welfare of those ensnared, it is not genetic, and prevention is effective. Change is possible.

Dr. Robert L. Spitzer, the Columbia University psychiatric professor and researcher who led the 1973 APA decision to declassify homosexuality itself as a mental-health disorder, released findings in 2001 that disproved his earlier position of immutability and demonstrated, instead, that change is possible. He said specifically, that data from his study "show some people can change from gay to straight, and we ought to acknowledge that" ("Some Gays Can Go Straight, Study Suggests," Malcolm Ritter, Associated Press, 9 May 2001).

Dr. Spitzer´s and others´ findings (some are Barlow, Abel & Blanchard, 1977; Pattison & Pattison, 1980) merely support what loving, supportive homosexual rehabilitation programs like Courage, NARTH, and Exodus International know to be true from experience: that homosexuals can escape successfully. They can "move beyond the confines of the homosexual identity to a more complete one in Christ."

The "Gay Gene" Myth

In addition, no respected geneticist has found, or claimed to have found, a so-called "gay gene" or any other indicator of genetic transmission. Despite all media headlines that seem to report the contrary, consideration of their full story always reveals that such an indicator is yet non-existent, and the research remains inconclusive.

That is not to say that there may not be some biological predisposition or an inherited temperament still to be uncovered that increases one´s vulnerability to environmental influences. That, in fact, seems probable. But currently it is known that homosexual behavior is clearly not genetic, and homosexuals are not "born that way."

In fact, an accumulation of extensive research on millions of research subjects finds that environment, not genetics, is the main factor in the development of non-heterosexual behavior. Recent extensive studies compared rates of homosexual behavior in sets of identical twins. If homosexual behavior were genetic, both twins in any given set would be homosexual at a rate of 100%.

But this is not what the research revealed. Rather, when one identical twin was homosexual the twin was only homosexual at a rate of 10% - 11%. Environment is obviously the major factor, as the science attests (Frisch & Hviid, 2006; Langstrom, Rahman, Carlstrom, & Lichtenstein, 2008; Lauman, Gagnon, & Michael, 1994; Santilla, Sandnabba, Harlaar, Varjonen, Alanko, von der Pahlen, 2008).

Dr. Rekers´ ongoing findings in researching the causes and prevention of Gender Identity Disorder led him to the conclusion that "it would now appear logical that homosexuality per se be re-examined as a mental disorder," but that "[i]t remains to be seen if the mental health professions will be able to readdress the issue of homosexuality from a logical and scientific perspective in the near future. The use (or abuse) of research may continue to be influenced by ideological factors in American culture."

Ferociously Protecting Her Faithful

Homosexual marriage and other gay activism in society is harmful, in part, because it affects sexual preference and gender identity formation of some children, exposing them to the false ideology that all sexual and gender variations are equally healthy and harmless. It also negatively impacts all of humanity through our largest social systems (legal and health care, for example), and individuals who seek or practice it. This means that homosexuality cannot be morally neutral.

Therefore the Church´s commitment to morality, justice, and the dignity of man demands that she oppose it, just as she actively opposes such within her own ranks if and when it appears, as in the homosexual scandal that came to light in recent past. The Church, as the mystical Body of Christ, is committed to the health and well-being of her faithful and that of the whole world.

We know from all the research that traditional heterosexual marriage strengthens the mental and physical health and the longevity of couples, and provides greater legal and financial security for children, parents, and seniors. But the research also proves homosexual "marriage" is not the same entity as heterosexual marriage, simply because gay and straight lifestyles are not equally beneficial. And the activists know this, while claiming all the while that they are.

Because the science has always been conclusively against homosexuality as healthy, natural, biologically caused, or unchangeable, researchers are now doing away entirely with research models that use heterosexuality as the basis for what is healthy, natural, biological (and therefore immutable) and moral. They have resorted to reconstructing the entire basis of reality in order to support positive findings for homosexuality.

Despite all evidence to the contrary, "[t]he new model rejects using a heterosexual parent household as the ´gold standard´ for what is normal and views differences as simply differences and not evidence of superior or pathological development. The new model asserts that family forms are socially constructed and rejects heterosexism" (Goldberg, 2008).

To make the issue and argument solely about what the Bible or Catechism says is to deliberately misconstrue the real issue: homosexuality is detrimental to the health and welfare of individuals, to society, and especially to children. Honest science and Church teachings will always be mutually supportive, because both are God´s and are, therefore, based on truth.

The Church has the absolute duty to oppose in Charity any legislation or message that seeks to harm her faithful or the dignity of humanity in general. Homosexuality, like all disordered passions left unchecked, is dangerous and destructive.

Mother Church, out of her supreme respect for the dignity of the human person, is ethically obligated to discriminate between "gay" and "straight" laws and messages, not out of an imposition of her own "ideology" or "religious bigotry," but because to do otherwise would be negligent. It is simply the right thing to do.

Perspective: Same Sex Marriage

Will The Gays Win? No.

(By Mike McManus April 15, 2009)

Gays have won significant victories in the last couple of weeks. First, there was the unanimous decision by the Iowa Supreme Court to legalize same-sex marriage. There have been other top state court decisions but they were always 5-4, barely enough to win. It was also the first state to take this step in the Midwest.

Second, Vermont not only became the first state to legalize gay marriage by the Legislature, but also without pressure from a court case, as in Massachusetts. Third, the governor vetoed the bill, but the Legislature overrode the veto.

Fourth, the Washington DC City Council voted unanimously last week to recognize same-sex marriage performed elsewhere. All recognize this is a half step toward legalization.

However, I believe the battle will ultimately be won by supporters of traditional marriage. Remember that the Germans were ahead in 1943.

Take Iowa, where the Supreme Court declared there was no "constitutionally adequate" justification to prevent "same-sex marriage" Iowans disagree. A February 2008 Iowa Poll showed 62 percent of Iowans believe marriage should be only between one man and one woman, with only 32 percent saying it should not.

Who will lead the opposition? Start with religious leaders.

Within hours, Iowa's Catholic bishops "strongly disagreed" with the decision, calling it "unwarranted social engineering" weakening the relationship between marriage and parenting. "This decision rejects the wisdom of thousands of years of human history. It implements a novel understanding of marriage, which will grievously harm families and children," they wrote. The rights of marriage "are not something that the state creates or may redefine."

Religious leaders have had many victories hardly mentioned in recent weeks. In California, for example, evangelicals joined Catholics to lead a 52-48 percent victory for Prop 8's limit of marriage to joining a man and woman. And that was the 30th state constitutional amendment limiting marriage to heterosexual couples. Only three states have gay marriage.

The good guys are winning by a 10-1 margin.

Maggie Gallagher, President of the National Organization for Marriage, quotes Vaclav Havel saying "Truth and love will prevail over lies and hate." She adds, "On that basis Havel took on the Soviet empire. Where is the invincible empire now?"

"Same sex marriage is founded on a lie about human nature: 'There's no difference between a same-sex and opposite sex unions and you are a bigot if you disagree.' Political movements can - sometimes at great human cost and with great output of energy - sustain a lie but eventually political regimes founded on lies collapse in on themselves."

She asks, "What does losing marriage mean? First, the rejection of the idea that children need a mom and dad as a cultural norm...Second, the redefinition of traditional religious faiths as the moral and legal equivalent of racists. The proposition on the table right now is that our faith itself is a form of bigotry."

The Washington Post, hardly a conservative paper, published examples recently: "A Christian photographer was forced by the New Mexico Civil Rights Commission to pay $6,637 in attorney's costs after she refused to photograph a gay couple's commitment ceremony.

"A psychologist in Georgia was fired after she declined for religious reasons to counsel a lesbian about her relationship. Christian fertility doctors in California who refused to artificially inseminate a lesbian patient were barred by the state Supreme Court from invoking their religious beliefs in refusing treatment.

"It really is all about religious liberty for us," said Scott Hoffman, chief administrative officer of a New Jersey Methodist group, the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, which lost a property tax exemption after it declined to allow its beachside pavilion to be used for a same-sex union ceremony. "The protection to not be forced to do something that is against deeply held religious principles," reported the paper.

This sort of honest reporting will awaken a sleeping giant, millions of Americans who believe deeply in traditional marriage and who resent any trampling of people because of their deeply held religious convictions.

Wednesday's Washington Post even published a column by 1,000 retired generals and admirals who argue that if Obama repeals the law stating that homosexuality is incompatible with military service, it "would prompt many dedicated people to leave the military."

They cite a poll that 10 percent would not reenlist and 14 percent would consider leaving. Even the lesser number means 228,600 would exit, more than all active-duty Marine Corps.

Some battles have been lost, but this war is not over.

(Michael J. McManus is a syndicated columnist writing on "Ethics & Religion". He is President & Co-Chair of Marriage Savers.)

I think that something not discussed much in this debate, is the injustice of redefining marriage to suit a group that wants to usurp its 'meaning'. Same-sex marriage is all about 'pretending' to be an actual married couple.

Advocates of same-sex marriage need to step back and face themselves in the mirror. They will see someone willing to take away from someone else what they themselves can not have. Same sex marriage does not make two men or two women married. It makes marriage meaningless. Its purpose cannot be to accomplish the physically impossible. The real purpose must be to exact a price on society for a non-crime ...namely not being able to fabricate a heterosexual normalcy for gay couples.

Rainbow Pop

(This would explain how the Obama/Pepsi logos are interchangeable. Obama-ade?)

Pepsico has put millions of dollars into groups that actively seek to promote homosexual lifestyle through legislation. The Westins will no longer be purchasing ANY Pepsico products because we don't want to support a company that is working against the welfare of our family and our society. They are actively working against marriage and family in US and Canada. I particularly resent their television ads which are propaganda for homosexual behaviour, and accessible to children whenever the television is on.

Sign Petition, read the details of Pepsico's social engineering attempts and see their despicable ads at "Boycott Pepsico".

Time to Invoke Saint Francis...

...he really can't be too happy about all this!

LifeSiteNews:
...A San Francisco assessor has called for the Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco to hand over $15 million in taxes because of an internal restructuring of the archdiocese, a move that some are describing as "retaliation" for the Church's opposition to Proposition 8.

Assessor Phil Ting concluded that the Catholic Church owed the city taxes after the archdiocese was restructured and its property, which is almost all used by parish facilities, was consolidated seven months ago.

"Because we knew the accusations (of unfair treatment) could be out there, we worked to look at every single document so we could totally and completely understand their argument," Ting said. "We looked at all the various exemptions that could have been applied, and we felt that none of them were applicable in this case. That meant it was our determination that this was a taxable event."

Ting claimed that because the restructuring involved "separate legal entities," it was "not just a cosmetic" change and therefore liable to be taxed.

The archdiocese immediately filed legal action and questioned the precedent for Ting's decision.

"San Francisco Recorder Phil Ting has taken a step that is unprecedented in the history of the state of California. He has determined that an internal reorganization of church property, within the family of corporations of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, constitutes a 'sale' and is subject to a property transfer tax," archdiocese spokesman Maurice Healy told the San Francisco Chronicle.

"A tax on transfers of property, all owned by the Catholic Church, within the same family of Archdiocesan corporations, is unprecedented in the history of the state of California and the law is overwhelmingly in our favor on this subject," said Healy.

Many are decrying the move as retaliation for the church's support of California's same-sex "marriage" ban, as pro-homosexual “marriage” San Francisco residents and politicians have made no secret of their ire at the Catholic Church and other religious groups for supporting Proposition 8....

Marriage Means Nothing

...in Canada. Under the Liberals, with their approval and government funding, marriage has been reduced to an agreement with financial and legal benefits and a symbol of homosexual power.

William Gairdner fills us in on the repercussions :

...We need to be reminded that marriage in the West has always been an institution based on four requirements, or qualifications that have provided whatever marital-social stability we used to enjoy. Until recently the law said that anyone is permitted to marry as long as they marry someone of the opposite sex, only one such person at a time, who is not beneath a certain age, and not a close blood relative. That is the four-legged matrimonial chair on which Western Judeo-Christian society has always rested.

But due to the undermining of marriage that results from having removed the gender requirement, the case of open polygamy practiced at Bountiful will not be prosecuted in the confidence that this rational social and moral ground of marriage, this stable structure that has been the very best thing for men, women, children, and for society as a whole for generations, must be upheld. For it as already been trashed.

Instead, polygamy will be prosecuted simply because it is against the current law (Section 293). And polygamy will defended under Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms as a matter of religious right.

When it gets to court, judges will fall back on the question of whether or not one individual right (to religion) does or does not “trump” another individual right (say, a woman’s right). In other words, the process of adjudication in the war over rights will come down, as always, to some judge’s effort to construct a reasonable hierarchy of individual rights. Society, and the greater common good, will be entirely absent from this deliberation...

Rainbow Soup?

Campbell's has decided to ignore the McDonald's experience, and the family values expressed by the buying public, and go after the niche of 'gay family' soup eaters.

Good on 'em. They are ridiculously overpriced anyway! (And not very healthy.)

I'm already not buying their soup (I make my own, delicious, soups) but I join in the boycott of Campbell's in spirit. I hope they feel the indignation of normal families who don't appreciate their children being ambushed by 'gay soup' commercials in their prime time viewing. (Actually, I'm boycotting television in general for this very reason!)

Mind you, they are perfectly free to come up with the worst advertising campaign they can think of, just as we are perfectly free to despise it!

Freedom is a two-edged sword.

Rights For Gays - Only

More deplorable, disgusting and illegal behavior in San Francisco by opponents of Prop 8 adds to the negative reputation of that city. Can't think of any reason a non- gay person would visit there, unless it was to have a 'detested and mal-treated minority' experience. That's a real tourism booster! (Way to go, Mayor Gavin!)

Catholic League:
Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, in the heart of San Francisco’s gay Castro community, was vandalized over the weekend by opponents of Proposition 8, the California resolution passed by voters in November that rejected gay marriage. Swastikas were painted on the church and the names Ratzinger (referring to Pope Benedict XVI) and Niederauer (the San Francisco Archbishop) were scrawled besides the Nazi symbol....

...“In the wake of Proposition 8, innocent persons have been assaulted, churches have been vandalized, a white substance resembling anthrax was sent to the Knights of Columbus and to Mormon temples, supporters of traditional marriage have been branded Nazis, African Americans have been called the ‘N-word,’ houses and cars have been trashed, etc. Unfortunately, most of those in the gay community have been silent about these acts....

Including Gavin.

One For Free Speech

France's Court of Appeals overturned a 'homophobic speech' conviction in a ruling that has put the homosexual community up in arms:(LifeSiteNews)

....Deputy Christian Vanneste was convicted in 2006 of "homophobic" speech after stating in 2004 that "homosexuality is inferior to heterosexuality. If it were universalized it would be dangerous for humanity." He also called the behavior of homosexuals "bigoted."

The French Court of Appeals overturned the lower court ruling, remarking that "if the disputed remarks were able to hurt the feelings of certain homosexual people, their contents do not go beyond the limits of freedom of expression."

The negation of the lower court's $4,000 fine for Vanneste's remarks was denounced by homosexualist organizations across the country.

"This decision of the Court of Appeals will unfortunately lead homophobes to believe that they can express their hate with complete impunity," complained the French organization "Gaylib" on their website. "This is precisely what the (anti-homophobia) law of 2004 sought by the government of Jean Pierre Raffarin was meant to fight."

"This decision could harm fragile gains" made by the homosexual movement, remarked representatives of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Center of Paris. The organization lamented that "the struggle against homophobia is floundering."

France's "ACT UP" claimed that "the legislature gave the means to prosecute offenses based on sexual orientation precisely because society has begun to realize the impact of homophobia. The decision of the appeals court put all of that in doubt."

"The communication tactics of the gay lobby are habitual," said Vanneste in an interview with the Evangelical Protestant Committee for Human Dignity. "They've been effective, and they're not going to stop using them."

"They consist in victimization, and distortions made in bad faith every time they meet an obstacle. The Court of Appeals seeks to say very clearly that I have expressed perfectly acceptable opinions within a framework of normal democratic debate," Vanneste continued. "I would like to add that they are founded on good sense, and they are shared by the majority. They consist in particular in saying that one can obviously judge behavior on a moral level."

In his defense, Vanneste's attorney brought forth philosophical, theological, and legal arguments in favor of his client, and called two philosophy professors and a pastor to the stand to testify.

"I made an exaggerated statement based on the categorical imperative of Kant," Vanneste said during the trial. "There are concepts that one can universalize and others that one can't. The first are the greater. That is a justification for the foundation of morality."

Vanneste also quoted Augustine's dictum that one must "love the sinner but hate the sin," and added that "homosexuality is morally inferior, according to the Christian concept of the family and matrimony."

No doubt Bash Back is buying their transcontinental flights right now. Close the borders!

In Canada, it wouldn't have been in court. It would have been a 'Human Rights' complaint, the victim (Vanneste) would have had to pay his own legal bills while the gov't agency usurped his rights to even a fair hearing. He would have been found guilty with no appeal to a 'higher' court, and a penalty would have been exacted. Like 'never speaking in public again' and perhaps apologizing for expressing Christian beliefs and paying a fine to be used for the sponsorship of Gay Marriage cocktail hour.

More Rampaging Gays

I'm not quite sure how this is helping their 'message'. LifeSiteNews reports:
On Sunday, November 9, a band of about 30 homosexuals stormed a church in Lansing, Michigan. Some were well dressed and were stationed inside Mount Hope Church, where they pretended to be normal Sunday worshippers; others were outside dressed in pink and black.

The group of self-described homosexual anarchists, Bash Back!, claims the evangelical church is guilty of “transphobia and homophobia.” The group says that it fights for "liberation," opposes "all forms of state power," and urges members not to condemn certain methods of promoting their cause "on the grounds that the State deems it to be illegal."

During the service the protesters outside the church were beating on buckets, shouting “Jesus was a homo” on a megaphone and carrying an upside-down pink cross. They distributed fliers to passersby.

When the signal was given the protesters inside the church rose from their seats and began loudly to disrupt the service. The fire alarm was pulled inside the church, protesters stormed the pulpit and a huge rainbow-colored flag was unfurled with the inscription, “IT’S OKAY TO BE GAY! BASH BACK!”

The church was vandalized, obscenities were shouted and worshippers were confronted. According to Right Michigan the protestors in their demonstration also used condoms, glitter, confetti, and pink fabric. A video camera wielded by the homosexualists attempted to capture violent reactions from members of the congregation, of which there were none. Right Michigan also reports that approximately an hour after the demonstration two of the demonstrators were found by security in a public restroom in the church together. There were no arrests.

Bash Back! issued a press release on their website after the fact, which admitted that “the group was extremely loud and wildly offensive.” The group described Mount Hope Church as “deplorable” and “anti-queer.”

The release concluded, “Let it be known: So long as bigots kill us in the streets, this pack of wolves will continue to BASH BACK!”...

I'm sure this has nothing at all to do with an 'empowerment euphoria' sweeping the nation since the election...and is 'Queer' a race now??

Gays on the Rampage

CustosFidei has the video showing an attack by losers on a supporter of 'prop 8', in Palm Springs, California.

Its about power. Somehow they have the idea that being homosexual gives them 'extra' super-citizen powers. Like the power to co-opt everything and make it 'gay', and the power to beat the opposition away with vulgarity and violence, without any fear of 'the law'.

Super-Citizens!

Bishop Sends Steinbock Packing

California Catholic:
Bishop John Steinbock has removed a priest who told parishioners to vote against Proposition 8 and confessed on a television newscast to being a homosexual from his post as pastor of the St. Paul Newman Center in Fresno.

The bishop also took away Fr. Geoffrey Farrow’s diocesan salary and health benefits, and told him not to return to the Newman Center or any other parish in the diocese he had served at previously.

The Los Angeles Times quoted Bishop Steinbock as saying in a letter to Fr. Farrow, “Your statement contradicted the teaching of the Catholic Church and has brought scandal to your parish community as well as the whole Church."...

REAL SHEPHERD - Bishop Soto

California Catholic News :

"When two Catholics from Southern California learned that Sacramento Coadjutor Bishop Jaime Soto was to be the keynote speaker at the National Association of Catholic Diocesan Lesbian and Gay Ministries conference in Long Beach on Sept. 18, they decided to attend themselves to see and hear the talk in person. They say what they witnessed was a bishop who “courageously but gently” gave a clear presentation of Church teaching on sexuality...

The National Association of Catholic Diocesan Lesbian and Gay Ministries, based in Berkeley, is a network of local ministries that has the reputation of taking, at best, an ambiguous stance on the moral character of homosexuality and homosexual acts.

But there was noting ambiguous about Bishop Soto’s remarks to the group. 'Sexual relations between people of the same sex can be alluring for homosexuals, but it deviates from the true meaning of the act and distracts them from the true nature of love to which God has called us all,' Bishop Soto said. 'For this reason, it is sinful. Married love is a beautiful, heroic expression of faithful, life-giving, life-creating love. It should not be accommodated and manipulated for those who would believe that they can and have a right to mimic its unique expression.'

At least five members of the audience walked out during the bishop’s address. When he finished speaking, there was general silence -- with only a very small number applauding.

..The chairman of the conference then announced that the bishop would answer questions at a reception that would be held in another room. That led to widespread expressions of disapproval from members of the audience, who said they wanted to be able to express their responses immediately. It was agreed that those who wanted to speak would line up. The bishop was told twice by the chairman that he was free to leave if he wanted -- or to stay and listen. Bishop Soto stayed and sat quietly listening to every response..."

UN Called On Carpet For Pushing Ideology

LifeSiteNews:

"...A resolution was introduced in the United States House of Representatives this week condemning two United Nations committees. The non-binding resolution was introduced by Republican Thad McCotter (R-MI) and specifically condemns actions taken by the Human Rights Committee (HRC) and the Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

The resolution singles out these two committees for reinterpreting hard-law treaties to include a right to abortion and trying to force sovereign states who have ratified the treaties into accepting these new interpretations..."

This is not 'new'. Its been an ongoing manipulative campaign by the more powerful, over the less powerful, to accomplish their 'not really hidden' agenda to make all nations homosexual and abortion 'friendly' . The Culture of Death reigns Supreme at the UN. (Maybe Europeans are sooo insecure they have to make sure nobody else is having children either...)

The Gay Parade

LifesiteNews lists the 52 members of Congress on the 'bipartisan' House of Rep. LGBT Equality Caucus -all Democrats, so far.

No doubt the , Republicans will rush to join the 'bound to be popular' group, dedicated to promoting homosexuality at home and abroad.

Hurrah for America! Focus on the arguably best serviced demographic in the world. They REALLY need special attention. Waste public money supporting activities that have no conceivable public benefit. Plot the demise of American society .(Well, its really a bit late for that!) Join Canada and Europe in decimating your population. (Double kudos - green AND gay) Deconstruct the family so gays won't feel left out.

They still WILL be, you know. You can't really fake it. You can legislate recognition, even preference. You can punish naysayers. But you can't really fake it . Gay's will never accomplish the familial love and security, the joining in creation with the creator, the 'two becoming one',the biologically obvious. It's impossible, and they will always come up with less. It will always be a cheap copy, doomed to disappoint.

WHY PROLONG THEIR AGONY BY ENCOURAGING PEOPLE IN BEHAVIOR THAT ULTIMATELY DESTROYS THEM? Does Congress HATE homosexuals?

Now, just to be clear, I am not recommending legislating against homosexual behavior. In reality, personal behavior of that sort, like adultery, is a personal choice. A bad choice, but a choice that God has given us - to choose love and TRUTH, or to choose 'not love'. Should the State be legislating the encouragement of bad choices?

NO.

For The Love of Them

Loving our neighbor can be difficult, even unappreciated and unpopular. In some countries (Canada springs to mind) maybe even illegal - at the least, punishable. Christian love involves the TRUTH, and the TRUTH is not welcome in the world of same-sex marriage and homosexual activism.

(LifesiteNews):

"After illegal Gay Pride marches went ahead in Moscow earlier this month, homosexualist activists are condemning the Russian Orthodox Church for asserting Christian teaching on sexuality and suggesting that homosexual people do not have to live the 'gay lifestyle'.
One member of the Orthodox Church, Father Vsevolod Chaplin, recently said of homosexuals, in an interview with newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, 'Such people are deeply unhappy'.
'I know it from confessions and numerous life stories. It's not by chance that they die earlier and there're more suicides, drug addicts and alcoholics among them,' he said...
'The Church lovingly accepts everyone, including those who have passion for people of the same sex. But just because she loves them, she says unisexual love is a sin. A destructive sin,' said Fr. Chaplin..."
