Obama's Cure-All

...Hailing a new era "when science is restored to the proper side of the political aisle," President Barack Obama on Monday promised miraculous cures for a wide range of ailments when he signed an executive order expanding the scope of Bush-era federal funding for embryonic stem cell research.

As he directed more tax dollars to such studies, the president said stem cells from embryos could be at the forefront of the battle against man-made global warming.

"Every human embryo in the hands of a scientist means one less potential source of carbon dioxide emissions," Obama said, "And because stem cell research could take decades to produce any useful result, it promises to remove millions of humanoid exhalers from the toxic CO2 stream. This could produce an even greater net benefit to our climate than abortion does."...

Not to mention the economic benefits a la Pelosi's proposal to eliminate the public cost of poverty, by not letting the poor reproduce. Maybe providing embryos for research could be part of a work for welfare program....

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told ABC News’ George Stephanapolous Sunday that the Democrat’s economic stimulus bill, containing hundreds of millions of dollars for “family planning” services for the poor, will make real cuts in the number of low-income people, thereby saving taxpayer dollars, and increasing average income for everyone.

“Poor people are a luxury we just can’t afford,’ said Rep. Pelosi, “They cost us a lot of money to maintain; what with food stamps, housing and health care. So if we can rapidly reduce the number of poor people through contraception and abortion, that’s a net gain for federal and state budgets, and a fast track to economic recovery. Every poor baby prevented is like money in the bank.”.....

Less than a week in power, and the Democrats cannot seem to pace themselves. They're going to run through all the social engineering strategies in the first month! Eugenics, euthanasia, gay marriage, abortion, human experimentation .... aren't the groups most affected by these moves also the ones that are most likely to vote Democrat?

I don't get the 'kill off our demographic' strategy. Are there really enough rich atheist secular humanist post modern nihilists in the country to keep these guys in power...? Really?!



On a serious note, I think Nancy Pelosi is in desperate and urgent need of prayers. Her time could expire any moment, as with all of us, and she seems ill prepared to meet her Maker. Thanks to real Christians (as opposed to faux catholics), who most assuredly have had her in their prayers for quite a while. By God's grace, even the most obvious lost cause can be redeemed.

Do we want to mock and ridicule them, here? Why yes. Yes we do. Of course we do. They are mock-worthy and ridiculous. And they don’t deserve our business and hard-earned dollars.

Do we want to give a little free advertising to businesses and organizations that openly celebrate CHRISTMAS? Yes.

We call it Christmas proudly and happily and like normal folks do. Let them schlep away in their quagmire of ugly left-wing politics and ideology in their own dark ugly and probably undecorated homes...

Halifax is in the middle of a turf war between rival gangs, inspiring my vote for 'quote of the week':

None of these guys are terribly successful. Police routinely bring them in and convict them on drug offences. They're the more menacing version of the Trailer Park Boys.

I have finally had my curiosity piqued enough to actually look up the 'Trailer Park Boys', as they seem to have become somewhat of a cultural icon. (You'll have to look them up for yourself. I have language standards.) The 'Halifax Regional Municipality', which used to be known as Halifax/Dartmouth (and Sackville, and Bedford) has surely gone downhill since I left. Coiincidence?

Politically Incorrect
