It has been confirmed that Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy Dolan has been appointed the new Archbishop of New York, succeeding Cardinal Edward Egan.
Archbishop Dolan has a reputation as a generator of enthusiasm and funds, and as a 'great communicator'. No doubt these skills will come in handy in New York.
